When my sister and I were kids, and absolutely obsessed with Harry Potter, we used to spend every July 31st celebrating the young wizard's birthday. We would bake a cake, decorate it as badly as Hagrid's cake, we would go shopping and pretend we were walking along Diagon Alley, looking for a new broom, and then end the day with homemade butterbeer and a movie marathon of our favorite Harry Potter movies.
